Three years ago, Kate Middleton set off a trend that
is still going strong. Designers at New York’s Spring 2015 Bridal Market took
note. We viewed a fresh, modern spin on the runways with soft layers of fine
Chantilly, and dazzling re-embroidered lace applique bodices and skirts to
veils and shoes.
If you long to wear this time-honored
fabric, you’ll find both vintage looks as well as modern designs from
collections shown in New York. Nearly every designer featured wedding dresses with lace
accents and form-fitting bodices made of lace or appliqued with lace florals.
In addition to ivory and white laces, we caught sight of metallic laces, which
added a beautiful shimmer and shine to gowns. Check out some our favorites!
